Printable version of this press release

Celebrating 13 years of Emily the Strange, Cosmic Debris has teamed up with Oslo Mekaniske Verksted for what is sure to be a memorable event on November 2. Attendees will experience a strange night of original art, live music and an exclusive fashion show.

Fans are offered a unique opportunity to meet Rob Reger, the creative force behind the world’s most intriguing 13 year old and international counterculture icon. Thirteen limited edition serigraphs by Reger and fellow Emily artist Buzz Parker will be on display and for sale. Reger will be on hand to sign autographs, weave tall tales and discuss the dark genius of his creation.

DJ’s and diva-hostesses for the night, Fake Bitches of Glam, will craft a strange and eerie atmosphere leading up to an exclusive first-look at the Emily the Strange 2006 Holiday collection on the catwalk. Fashion has never been stranger!

Following the fashion show, Punk rock girl group Cables will top the party off with a special set dedicated to Emily the Strange. Cables is one of the most exciting groups to hit the Norwegian music scene of late, and are highly acclaimed by press and fans alike.

Emily the Strange has never been seen so much! With over 2.923 million fans, the character has become renown across the globe as an individualistic, clever, and unique brand of clothing and accessories. Beyond fashion, Emily is the subject of a quarterly comic book from Dark Horse Comics, a line of stationery products and graphic novels from Chronicle Books, and the anti-hero of an upcoming feature film with 20th Century Fox.

Oslo Mekaniske Verksted’s Emily the Strange party is expected to be a real highlight in the cold Norwegian fall, attracting a wide range of press representatives, celebrity partygoers and Emily fans from all over Scandinavia. Be there or get lost!
